Today is the start of a new month and I've decided this is it. I'm going to do TurboJam everyday even if I have to kick myself to get started. That's my problem.... Getting started. Once i actually start Turbo Jam i'm fine and am full of energy but it's the getting up and getting started that kills me. Another strick rule that I decided to stick to and that will help wonders with my diet is no, and I mean NOTHING, goes in my mouth after 7pm ( except water but you know what i mean). You would be surpise about how much difference that makes. Well i must go and get started on my Turbo Jam for today. We had a wonderful Christmas with a lot of presents of course. Riley and Hillary has so many new toys that they haven't touch many of there old toys since which means that it will soon be time to sort through the toys and send some to the storage unit. I don't think that they will miss any. Riley's birthday was two days after which meant even more presents. In a way it's to bad for riley because he get all kinds of presents with in a matter of a couple of days and then he has to wait a full year for more. I don't think that it bothers him to much though. He had his birthday party at the bowling ally and he loved it. Everyone had a wonderful time and Jason was lucky enough to be off that day. Actually Jason was lucky because he was suppose to be working through Christmas but he got home late on the 23rd and didn't have to go back to work until after Riley's birthday. He ended up working new year's but we can't complain. It was the second new year's that I spent without him but at least this year I wasn't alone because mom, dad, and brud was here with me.

Usually during christmas i always gain weight but i'm happy to say that this year I actually lost. I got back into doing turbojam and I'm glad to say that I have two inches lost of my waist. I also got a new turbojam partner when he's here. I got brud into doing it with me and he loved it to. Of course jason decided to try it to and now he does it with me when he is not working. I must say it's so much easier to do it when you have someone to do it with. It also makes it a lot harder to say "I don't want to do it today." When there is someone with you it motivates you. Even when brud leaves I'm going to keep doing it because I know how hard it is to get back into it once you stop so the best thing to do is not to stop. It's almost time for everyone to leave again. Brud is going to edmonton on friday and mom and dad is leaving on the 16th which means I'll have more time to write.

Can't believe it!

I can't believe it's the 10th of november already. It's crazy. My birthday is in 6 day, mom and dad will be here in a month, and of course brud will be here three days after them. The time won't be long going. The kids had fun at halloween. We went trick or treating at the mall and they got so much candy that they didn't really need to go anywhere else. We went to some friends houses but it was way to cold to go really far.

Christmas shopping update........ I now have brud's and hillary's christmas gifts which means that I only have dad's and jason's left to get. I'm way ahead of myself this year. I'm so excited about Christmas this year. It's going to be so much fun. Both hillary and riley are old enough to know what is going on. Hillary gets excited already and she's tells us what she wants santa to bring her. We went to see The Santa Clause 3 the other day and of course that made her more excited. She even came home after and watched the second Santa Clause movie. They love going to walmart and seeing all of the christmas stuff that is out. Hillary especially likes the big globes that go outside that moves. I would get one to put outside but we don't have any room for it. They are going to be so excited when i start taking out the christmas stuff but it's another couple of weeks before i do that.

Snow, Snow, and More Snow!

What snow we had over the last few days. I'd say it's a good 30+ cms. Of course Hillary and Riley was out in it yesterday but it was still snowing so they couldn't do that much. You should of seen Hillary I don't think she knew what to do. She just stood in one spot of a couple of minutes just staring at it. She went outside in the snow last year but we never had much. I'd say we had more in the last two days then we did all of last year. Usually it's too cold for snow that's why we probably won't have any for Christmas. We never had any last year but I'm praying that we will have a little this year. Anyone who knows me know that the first snow fall get me in the Christmas mood. Everything looks like Christmas now. I would fill out my Christmas cards but I don't have them yet. Maybe I'll just go start wrapping up all of the gifts that I have in there. I have them stashed everywhere so the kids can't find them. I did do a little Christmas shopping yesterday, online of course. I now know what to get mom and dad. Brud and Jason is still up in the air. I need a Christmas list from both.

I'm reading a really good book that I just can't put down. It's called Green River, Running Red by Ann Rule. It's a true crime book and it's awesome. It talks about the green river murders that happened in the eighties. She has a lot of true crime books out and I'm going to start collecting them all. ( hint, hint. LOL) I have one coming from the book club but I'm can't remember what it is called. I'll post the name when I get it. Like I told shauna lee....It's like reading CSI only it really happened. Scaring when you think about it but interesting to read how they caught him.

Finally!

I finally got a snow suit and boots for Hillary. After my last posting I went shopping and found them. I got warm boots at sears for only $5.....What a deal and I found a snow suit at zellers after all. You won't think that one day would make a difference at what a store has. Speaking of deals. I went shopping with Debbie again today and found 2 pairs of jeans for $15 and they are nice jeans too. I found a great little suit for Hillary for $12 and a shirt for Riley for $3. Gotta love shopping when you catch the sales.

I've been buying stuff off and on for Christmas and finally decided to sit down and sort through what I have. I must say I surprised myself. I have most of my Christmas shopping done. All I have to get is a few big things for the kids and jason's. Well I have brud's and dad's left to get also but that's only minor compared to the shopping that I would have to do if I never had it started.

Riley was to Monster trucks last night and what a time he had. He was so excited when he got home and all he done today was talk about it. He really wants to go to a hockey game so I figured that when mom, dad, and brud comes up we will all go to one. The only home games is on the 22nd and 23rd of December so I'll have to see what one they want to go to. It's pretty cheap tickets to so I'll get them as soon as we decide what one to go to. There is so much to do that time of year so we'll have lots of fun stuff to do when brud gets here and of course we can't forget shopping....LOL.

So Hard!

When is it so hard to find anything when shopping. I went looking for snow suits and boots for Hillary and Riley and what a hard time I had. Were it gets so cold up here in the winter I can't by just anything. After hours of shopping I finally got Riley a warm jacket at walmart. I was trying to get boots for him that is good in -40 or -50 but you know my luck. The only ones I could find was always miles too big. I finally had to settle for a pair that was good for -30. When you think about it, it don't get much colder than that in the day time and Riley won't be outside in the night time when it gets really cold. Hillary is a different story. I checked almost every store and can't find anything. I have one more place to go and if I can't find anything I'll have to buy her a really gross one. Maybe I'll just order one from sears.

I ordered a tranformer for Riley for Christmas last week because it was what he was asking for and I couldn't find it anywhere. I went on the toys r us site one day and there it was. I figured that I would get it just in case I couldn't find it before Christmas and he would be disappointed. Just my luck......I had it come yesterday and I seen it at the superstore yesterday. There was only one there so it is a good thing that I did order it. Hillary wants a baby alive but I can't find that one anywhere either. The only place I can find it is on the toys r us site. I guess toys r us will be getting a lot of my business this Christmas season because Hillary also wants the my little pony castle and I can't find that anywhere but the toy r us site too. Oh well we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Made it after all!

An update to my last posting is that Debbie and Gary did make it these days off. Boy was Riley excited. Now he's trying to guilt them into staying longer. You got to laugh at him. He know just what to say to get his own way. Anyone who thinks that kids don't know what they are doing is wrong. Hillary is only two and she even knows to put on the little puppy dog look and say please. It's so cute it's funny.

Can you believe it......it's actually snowing. It's so cold. I have to go shopping later for snow suits for the kids. We're having turkey for supper so we're all going to be asleep later. lol. Mitchell has a remote control car bought so now of course jason wants one and it's not a cheap one either. Maybe I'll get it for him for christmas. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Mom and Dad are coming on December 11th and brud is coming on the 14th. It is going to be so exciting for hillary and riley they probably won't sleep for a week. I can't wait. I'll have someone to go shopping with. We'll have to get mom and dad to babysit so me and brud can go christmas shopping. Don't worry brud with me helping you we'll have your shopping done in 20 minutes..lol. At this rate I'll be done in no time. I like accounting so much that when i get started I find it hard to put it down. It's like a really good book only your learning a career. Believe me you have to love accounting to work at it. It's A LOT of work. People have no idea how much an accountant actually does for a business. Anyway......debbie and gary was suppose to come up tomorrow but something came up and now they can't come up until November 1st. It doesn't bother me but riley was really disappointed. Hopefully when jason starts his days off riley won't remember that we told him that nanny decker will be coming up this set of days off. Then we're back to square one trying to explain to him why they can't come till next days off. I'll just have to deal with that when the time comes.

Ready for Christmas Already!

Besides having most of my Christmas shopping already done, Hillary is ready for Christmas too. She's into watching Christmas movies and all she talks about is Christmas. When she sees anything on tv that she wants she says Christmas. She's so cute. It's going to be fun this year because both of them are old enough to know what it's about. She's smarter than we think. Whenever mom talks to her on the phone she says that nanny is going to come up for Christmas. The other day we asked her what does Santa brings at Christmas and she said "nanny." It was soooooo cute. Then of course I told her that poppy and uncle Jason is coming for Christmas to and you should see how excited she got. You should see her now. She's sitting on the floor watching Barney's Christmas and trying to sing Jingle Bells with them. She knows a few of the main words but the rest she just tries to sing. She sounds just like mom when she don't know the words to a song the only difference is that with Hillary it's cute but with mom it use to get on mine and brud's nerves. I can't wait to see what she will do when they get here. Riley can tell us how excited he is but Hillary just goes right out of herself when she sees pictures of them. Last night when I was talking to brud online she saw a pictures of him and shauna lee. All she kept saying was " Oh Jas, Jas. Oh Lee. Jas, Jas, oh Jas." It's so cute because you wouldn't think that she would remember them that well but she do. I think it's because she use to always watch a video of brud singing. She's going to be so happy to see him play guitar again. She's going to be just like him when it comes to music and hopefully book smarts to. You know the ones. You work and work all day but it seems like your not getting anything done. I'm at the point now where i say that's enough. I'm going to sit down for the first time today and do some of my work that i want to do. I want to do the newsletter that i send out to my avon customers and I want to do some studying. I'm not in no rush. I have lots of time to do everything if not i'll be bored out of my tree in the day time. I don't see the point of doing everything in one day and they spend the rest of the week doing nothing.

I finally got my next module come but I haven't had much time to get any work done. I had it come while jason was on days off and for some reason i never get anything done on his days off. Well his first day back was only today and well you know what today has been like. I don't mind. I'm REALLY ahead in my studies. Well i must go and start on my newsletter.

I was Right!

I was right...I do have my module done long before i get my new one. Oh well what to do now. Me and hillary has all the days to ourselfs now that riley is in school all day long. I usually have my work done in the morning because we have to get up so early so we have the rest of the day to spend together. It's a good thing that she likes music as much as I do because when I'm bored I usually listen to music and then she starts dancing so most of our days are spent dancing. It's fun.

Craig didn't win Canadian Idol but he still did newfoundland proud. Its just to bad that most of newfoundland didn't get to vote because the lines went down. The only way they got to vote was to do to a pay phone. Who knows what might of happened if they could of got through. Oh well we all know that he will still make a cd and probably do as good as Rex. I'll buy his cd just to show support. That's all for now.....I have to go and get hillary some pizza.

Canadian Idol Tomorrow!

Only one more night until the Canadian Idol is revealed. Of course I voted for Craig but believe me it wasn't an easy task. Mom tried to vote for him but couldn't get through so she told me to vote for her and dad so in total I had to cast four votes. I was on the phone for the two hours trying to vote and I was lucky to get through four times. The last time was just minutes before it closed. I can only imagine how many votes where casted. I hope Craig wins it because he would be the first newfie to win. We were so close last year with Rex. I can't imagine what the two finalists are going through today. I'm can't wait till tomorrow so imagine how excited and nervous they are getting.

Anyway.....I have another module finish for school and I still have an 97% average. So far so good. The one thing I hate about doing it through distance is that now I have to wait over a week to get my next module. It's a good thing they have practice exercises to do after you have all the test done or I would be bored while I wait. I will still probably have them done long before my next module come. Oh well what can I do except wait.

Alberta Bound!

You know that people leaving newfoundland and moving to alberta is at a all time high when you see a sign like this posted. Yes, this is an actually sign that is posted outside the crossroads motel in st.johns. I thought that there was a lot of newfies here when we moved but I'm willing to bet that we'll see a lot more people that we know now. What's the point of moving back home, everyone is up here anyway. I don't know of any of the people that we use to hang out with that is not in alberta somewhere. Of course there is a rare few that is still home but it's only a matter of time. Hopefully brud will like it up here so much that he will try to get a job out this way. Just to let you know....he did fine. Then of course i was late getting my Avon order and when it did come i was one box short. Grrrrr......everything to drive you nuts. I didn't get my next module for school come so this week was ended on a bad note. So far I have done 4 test and got 2-100% and 2-95%. I know you might say that its easy doing it through the mail because no one is watching you do the test so you can do it open book but the way I look at it; I don't see no point in doing that. When your on the job you can't have a book open in front of you showing you what to do so if you do everything open book your not really learning anything and you will be useless on the job. My goal is to graduate with highest honors and to do that I will need an average of 90 plus which means that I will be studying my butt off unlike some people ( smartass brud...LOL) who hardly as to study to get good grades. Oh what it would be like to be a natural brain but I'm afraid that brud got most of the brains in our family so I'm stuck with studying, studying, and still studying. Don't get me wrong I like studying it gives me something to do.

Riley starts school on Tuesdays and he is SOOO excited. The worse thing is that he has to go on the city bus. It's not so bad in the mornings cause when the bus picks him up it takes him straight to the school but in the afternoon he will have to change buses so we're going to try to pick him up in the afternoon's. We're going to let him go on the bus a couple of times so if anything happens that no one can pick him up at least he will know what bus to go on to get home.

Well I must go and transfer some study notes to the computer. I find that it makes it easy to remember if I write it by hand first and then put it on the computer. Talk to you later.

Update!

It's been a while since I posted I figured that I'll do an update.

I started selling Avon which is fun. Thanks to it I already have a good chunk of my Christmas shopping done. Everyone is getting Avon for Christmas....Well not everyone but you know what I mean.

I have 2 inches lost off my waist thanks to TurboJam. It is awesome. I actually look forward to exercising which is different for me cause I usually have to make myself exercise.

I now have a car thanks to mom and dad. I have the best parents in the world. They gave me their car. Now all I have to do is get it up here and get my license. They will probably drive it up here when they come so I have a few months yet.

Jason got another new motorcycle. I know, I know...He just got one but he decided that he didn't like it anymore so he traded it in on a new one. Men, they're never happy.

On jason's last days off we went to the lake with Joanne and Mitchell and I ended up spending the whole time sitting at a picnic table. Hillary decided that she don't like sand on her feet. She wouldn't even let me sit down on it so I never really had many choices. The little puddin' wouldn't even let me go out in boat so the trip was really just a boring waste of time. Everyone else was off enjoying themselves and I was stuck sitting there all by myself with Hillary. I know for next time to send Jason and Riley on there way and I'll stay home with Hillary. At least at home I can get some work done.

Well I think that's all for now. I usually have my work done by dinnertime so then I the rest of the day bored out of my tree. I can't watch cause the kids always want to watch cartoons. Can't take them out doors cause Riley don't listen to me anymore and I can't handle him and hillary. He's always runs away from me and I can't leave hillary to chase after him. I started selling avon and that gives me something to do for a little while. I think that I know their catolog off by heart. I have some new books order. I can't wait to get them. Joanne lent me one the other day and I had it read in 24 hours. Tells ya how bored I am.

Happy Birthday Canada!

Happy Canada Day to everyone. What a beautiful day it is. We went to the park for a couple of hours and had some fun playing in the playground and taking some pictures. Of course to Riley a day out in the sun just isn't the same unless it ends with us getting some DQ. So off we went to get some ice cream. The little man knows what he wants. I discovered yesturday the i enjoy making bread. After buying so much bread jason and greg said that i should make some. With the amount of bread that this house goes through it would be a lot cheaper so after making the first batch yesturday i realized that i really like it and I am making some more again today. I only made 5 loafs yesturday because i wasn't sure how it would turn out. Lets just say that it turned out really good and I had to make more today cause there isn't much left. Hillary and riley loves it. It's all they eat. Oh well now i know what I can do on those boring days.

The little man graduated!

I can't believe that Riley has graduated kindergarden already. It seems like only yesturday that I was in the hospital having him. Where does the time go? He was so excited about today that he didn't go to bed until 12 last night and he was up again at 5 all ready to go to school. He's all excited about going to grade one in september but I sure that will wear off by october. He will be going everyday which is a big difference for him. This year he was only going twice a week. Before I know it Hillary will be graduating. Jason has been working a lot so I was stuck in the house most of the time. Most of my week consisted of cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning. When I wasn't cleaning i was bored. The only time that the kids wants me to play with them is to take them out doors. They are old enough to play with each other. The only time I was out of the house was to walk to the mail with the kids and to go to the store during the little bit of time that Jason had off. Riley had his best friend over on thursday for a couple of hours which made him happy. He graduates on tuesday so after that I'd say he is going to be a little bored not seeing his friends twice a week. I seen some new exercise videos on tv that I just got to get. It's called Turbo Jam and it seems awesome. Will let you know when i get them. Have to go nothing else to say for now.

The Coolest Thing Ever!

I haven't been to Walmart since we got back from Newfoundland(I know its hard to believe) so when i finally went last night did I get a surprise. I went in a got what i needed and it didn't seem like anything has changed but when i got to the counter did i get a surprise. They now have express self serve checkouts. It's the coolest thing ever. You scan your own items, bag them if you want to, and pay for it with whatever method you want to. It's fast and awesome because as some of you know that even the express line ups can be slow so it's great for when your in a rush and don't have time to deal with slow cashiers. I think every Walmart should have them. I give Walmart 10 thumbs up for that idea. Like I said to Jason one day in the future all of the checkouts will probably be like it. It will make less jobs for cashiers but more jobs because someone will be needed to fix them because has everyone know computers always has problems and breakdowns.

It is so hard to get use to these long days. We have only about four hours of darkness which means that it don't get dark till about midnight. BIG difference from life in Newfoundland. It makes it harder to get the kids to bed. Hillary is not so bad because all I have to do to get her to sleep is to shut the blinds but Riley is a different story. He thinks that just because it's light outside it's early so he doesn't have to go to bed which mean that whenever I try to get him to bed before dark it's a fight. He's starting to get use to it though. Well I must go but before I do it anyone would like to see pictures of Jason's bike go to www.newfoundbikes.piczo.com.

Way too hot!

Over the last couple of days it's been way to hot. I'm not talking about hot like we use to get in Newfoundland sometimes, I'm talking HOT! If I don't have my housework done in the morning it's just to hot to do it after. You just feel like sitting down and not moving. It's no good to open the door or windows because you're only letting the heat in. The best thing to do is leave the blinds shut so the sun can't get in therefore it's stays cooler a little longer. It's so hot that even with nothing on except underware and a pamper Hillary and Riley are sweating. I really need to get some fans. That's the next thing on my shopper list. What I wouldn't give for air conditioning right now. I guess I'm going to have to get use to all of this heat because i have a feeling it's going to be like it a lot this summer. I'm told that sometimes it's gets even hotter than this. Far cry from newfie weather.

Pictures of Grande Prairie

Here are some pictures of Grande Prairie that I promised in a earlier posting. I can't believe how fast time goes by. I never even realized that it has been five days since I written last until I just happen to check my blog to see if there was any comments went. I can't believe how fast this week went by. So here is the news for this week........

Hillary's birthday was yesterday. I can't believe that she is two. Of course Jason ended up working which kind of made me mad because it was the only day that he worked this week. Poor Hillary. I couldn't even take her outside because it was raining so she spend all of her birthday indoor.

Riley came home from school yesterday because they started practicing for his graduation. Can you believe it.....Just 5 more school days and his graduating kindergarten. He's growing up so fast.

Jason got his motorcycle license. I told him that he only had one chance because it cost $77 dollars each time so luckily for him he passed.

We finally got a family doctor. It only took us eight months. Thanks to Joanne because if she never called me I would of never know that he was taking new patience.

Jason's aunt is coming for a couple of days. It is going to be nice to have the company but they should of told us before today. Can anyone say short notice?

Well I think that it all for this week. Jason is off for a couple of days and with the company I probably won't get to write for a couple of day.

Talk to you later.

Good Luck To Brud!

Tonight's the night that brud sings and preaches in church(man I wish I could be there). I know that he don't need it cause he always does awesome but I'll wish him good luck anyway. Who knew that the little boy who wouldn't even speak in class would one day be singing and speaking in front of a crowd. Just goes to show that you never know what the future holds. I know that I said it before but he better tape it for me. I have a tape of them from a year and a half ago and Hillary just loves it. I know that she would love a new one to watch.

I finished reading The Da Vinci Deception and is now moved on to The Da Vinci Codebreaker. For anyone who has read The Da Vinci Code these two books are also a must read. Especially if you believe what is written in the Da Vinci Code. Being a Christian I knew that what the book said couldn't possibly be true but I read it just to see what all the talk was about. It is kind of hard to talk to someone about the book if you haven't even read it. After reading it I could see how some people might think that it is true. With all the details it's easy for someone to start believing the theory. I'm only one quarter of the way through The Da Vinci Codebreaker by James L. Garlow and the amount of thing that are fiction in the book or things that are only partly correct is amazing. I can't believe that so many people are believing something just because the writer says that it is fact. Don't get me wrong....I loved the book. It was the kind of book that once you started reading you couldn't put down. I'm just disappointed that the things that are fiction is portrayed at facts.

Friday Already!

Well another weekend is upon us of course Jason is working but I can't complain. We just came back from a two week weekend. I just wish that I could of been home for this weekend so I could of heard brud sing and preach in church. He better tape it for me. Of course it is another beautiful day here. It is only 9:16 in the morning and it is already warmer than the hottest summer day in Newfoundland. I can only imagine how warm it will be later today. I love this weather. Maybe when Jason gets home we will go to the park.

I'm not sure what to do with the rest of my day. I already have my housework done except of course hillary's and riley's toys that they have in the living room but that's a never ending job. The only way that stays clean is if they go to sleep or when riley is in school. I'll probably just listen to some music and more than likely finish the book I'm reading. I'm listening to music as I write this and Hillary is standing next to me dancing her little heart out. It's songs that she's use to brud singing so she's loving it. You should see her, she's such a cutie. She's trying to get riley to dance with her now and of course he putting up a fight. Kids will be kids. Well I must go and find something to do with my morning. Talk to you later.

Back Home!!

It was a good two weeks in Newfoundland but I'm glad to be back in Grande Prairie. After almost missing our flight and then the looooong direct flight(I'm never going direct again) we finally made it. I hate the time difference because by eight last night I was ready to go to bed but it might be a good thing for Hillary's sleeping. She went to bed at nine and didn't get up until eight this morning. It would be so great to be able to start going to bed early. After a good nights rest I finally had the energy to unpack. I don't know what I hate more packing or unpacking. I love to travel but I could do without both. Oh well........It has to be done.

On a good note...The weather here is beautiful. Last night at nine it was still 21 degrees. What a difference from the weather we had in Newfoundland. Now I know why I love it here so much. What a difference two weeks makes. They had a lot of rain while we were gone and everything is green. This place is sooooo BEAUTIFUL. Mom and dad loved it here in the winter I can only imagine what the would say if they were here now. I would have to take some pictures later and post them. That's all for now. I have to get back to unpacking. Grrrrrr.........

In Newfoundland....

I've been in newfoundland just a few days and it going good I guess. I've gotten a new attitude while here. If no one what's to make time to spend with us but just wants to go do their own thing than why should I care. From now on I'm going to do what I want to do and if they want to make time than they will just have to work around me. I'm sick and tired of trying to fit things in, try to make plans and then have people come up with reasons not to. If they can go do things and not make time for us than that's their problem. If they don't care than I'm not going to even bother. I'll take on their attitude of I'll do what I want to do,when I want to do it and who cares about everyone else. See how that makes them feel. I know,I know.... Do on to others....It's just sometimes I get sooooooooo mad. And for those people.....people do have feelings.

Could This Day Get Any Better!!!

This day started off with Jason getting a call to go to work which was good because he wants to get as many jobs as he can before he takes his holidays. Then as he was getting ready I checked the bank account and his check was a lot more than we expected so of course we started this day in a really great mood. When Jason went to work me and Joanne went to do some shopping. We started at the mall and we were just inside the door when I seen jeans on sale for a unbelievable price so of course I had to get a pair. I wanted to get some new ones before our trip but I didn't really want to spend the money. So after buying my pair off we went to look for some clothes for Jason. The first couple of stores that we try didn't produce anything so i was starting to think that we would have to do it tomorrow but we said that we had time to do one more store before we had to go because Riley and Bradley had a birthday party to go to. I'm so glad that we went there. They had everything that I needed on sale. Jeans that were regular $90 were on for $25. Shirts were on for $3 and others were on for $12. What a happy shopper I was. I got the clothes that I wanted to get Jason plus a lot extra for the amount that I had planned to spend in the first place. Could this day get any better.............I think not.

The Secrets Out!!

After a couple of months keeping the secret Riley let it out one week before. For those who don't know what I am talking about we are going home on holidays on may 17. I was suppose to be a surprise with only a couple of people knowing before hand but Riley got that excited that he ended up telling. I have to give the little man credit. He did a good job keeping if for this long. He is only five and he is sooooo excited to be going home for a while. He has so much planned. We are going to have a busy two weeks. Of course I'm going to try to spend as much time as I can with brud because I get to see mom and dad a lot more than I get to see him and of course I can't forget Shauna lee. Maybe the four of us can make a trip to St.John's together seeing as how she makes so many of them(LOL). What do you guys think of that? I know that Hillary and Riley is going to be attached to grandparents for the two weeks so I know that I be able to do a few things. It's nice to get a break for a while. So brud I'd say we will be making a nice few trips to clarenville together or do something. I have to make up a year's worth of bugging in just two weeks plus a little more so it will last till Christmas so you better be prepared(hahahahahahaha) It's going to be a fun two weeks.

Rain......What a change!

After weeks of sunny days and cloudly days we finally have a day of rain. I never thought that the day would come when I would want it to rain. Back in Newfoundland it could rain for days and a sunny day would be a welcomed change...What a difference from here. Don't get me wrong I Love all of the sunny and warm days but everyone needs a little rain. The grass will finally turn green instead of an ugly brown and I'd say the flowers are going to benefit from it to. It will make this place even more beautiful than it already is. Of course this rain is also good for the water supply. Who would want a water shortage this early in the year.

Well just to let every know Joanne gave me a good report on my hair. Jason even says that he likes it and I know he would tell me if he didn't. I'm starting to get use to it. It's definitely easier to handle but I miss be able to put my hair back when I don't have time to style it. When you have kids life can get pretty busy and it is so much easier to just wash your hair and put it in a ponytail than it is to style it. Oh well I guess I'll just have to start getting use to making a few extra minutes to get myself ready. Don't get me wrong... It's not that hard to style but when your trying to get ready to go somewhere and you have two kids to get ready besides yourself a extra few minutes makes a big difference. When you become a mom your life gets so busy that its easy to forget about your own appearance and what looks good and just pick what becomes fastest and easiest which for me was putting my hair back but I'm use to it by now. Well I have to go, a certain little baby needs her bum changed....Oh the fun things you get to do as a parent. lol. I love it but I sure could use a little less bum changes. Can't wait till she's potty trained.

I'm shocked......It was a good movie.

I never ever watched an Harry Potter movie and had no interest in doing so. To me it was just a kids movie so it never bothered me. Well...... I accidentally had the latest Harry Potter movie sent to me by the DVD club so naturally I had every intention to send it back but after looking at the back and remembering the commerial that I had seen a long time ago my curiosity got the best of me and I watched it. To my surprise I liked it and would even watch any new ones if they made them. I learned that you should never judge a movie until you watch it. The next new release that I can't wait to see is X-men III. I loved the first two so naturally I can't wait to see the next. Does anyone have any recommendations about some must sees........

Spring Cleaning!

Well I finally started the dreaded spring cleaning. I've been driving it off for as long as I can but with the start of may I decided to start. I started with digging out all of our summer clothes but now I have about a weeks work of laundry because our washer is so small that it will take that long to wash all of it. I'm going to do a room a day. I mean I'm not in that big of a rush and as least if I pace it out I will have something to do everyday. With the start of spring cleaning I decided to do some of my own personal spring cleaning. You know get rid of some of that old stuff that you should of lost a long time ago and it's a time to reinstate my diet. Over the last week or so I haven't been following it that well so with a new month comes a new more determined dieting me. I went to get my hair cut to get the blond out but the lady cut it was to short. At first I was freaking out but now I don't think that it's that bad. I think it was just the shock of having it that short when I wasn't expecting it. Mom, dad, and brud said that they liked it but they would say that anyway just to make me feel better. The true test will be when I see Joanne. I know that she will tell me the truth whether it's good or bad. We'll just have to see......

A Must Read!

For those of you who like to read you must read "The Popular Encyclopedia of Bible Prophecy" by Tim LaHaye. It's awesome. I have only been reading if for a couple of days but I've already learned so much that I might not of ever known or it might of took me a long time to figured it out. So far I have learned about abomination of desolation, Abrahamic covenant, eschatology of Acts, ages of time, amillennialism, angels, antichrist, apocalypticism, apostasy, ark of the Covenant, armageddon, babylon, beast, birth pangs, and i still have 127 more topics to go. I can't wait to read each one. I'll be well educated on those topics after this. For those who like reading fiction you must read "The Witness" by Dee Henderson. It's my second favorite fiction book. It's one of those books that once you start it you can't put it down until you're finished. For those of you who know me know that my all time favorite books are the 12 books of the Left Behind series. They are awesome and a must read for everyone and I must say I highly recommend the three Left Behind movies has a must see.

Two Very Long weeks!

The last two weeks has been the most tiring weeks that I have experienced in a long time. It start off with a week with the in-laws which meant late nights and early rises because of course no matter how late you stay up the kids aren't sleeping in. As the second week started I thought I was finally going to get some sleep when the kids got the flu. It wouldn't of been so bad except I also got the flu and trying to take care of the sick when you're also sick makes you soooooo tired. Since Hillary got the flu she hasn't been sleeping. The longest that she slept the past week without waking up was 1 hour. It's been about two weeks since I got any really good sleep. Hillary's not sleeping in the night time because of the flu and when she did sleep in the day time I couldn't sleep because I was either baby sitting or Riley was home from school. OH I just wish that I can get some sleep soon. No one has ever said that being a parent was easy......but they are soooooo worth it.

Weight Watchers Today!

Well I went to weight watcher today and I must say I'm happy. I lost 1.8 pounds over the last week which is really good. Giving up Pepsi really does work. I never even ate much diet food like salads or anything, I ate what everyone else ate just in smaller portions. I think this week I'm going to try to eat more salad's and stuff and see what happens. I'm aiming for another 1.8 pounds next week. In total I have pounds gone since January, 4.8 of which was lost since joining weight watchers. Of course it's good but there's one problem......Now I have to buy new clothes because all of mine are falling off me and everyone knows how much I hate shopping.....hehehe. At this rate I know that I will have my weight gone by bruds wedding.

For the record it is another beautiful day in grande prairie. It was plus 14 yesterday and it's suppose to go up to 17 today. All of this nice weather is making Jason want is bike even more, which by the way is on the way here, and seeing all of the motorcycles out around is making it worse. I love this weather.

Housework.....Housework.....Housework...

Well it's only 11am and I already know it's one of those days. You know the ones I'm talking about. You work and work and work but don't seem to get anything done. I've already been at it for three and a half hours and don't seem to be any better off than when I started. To make matters worse I only had about two hours sleep last night so now I'm not only angry with the housework but I'm also tired. Not a good combination. I feel like throwing everything down and sitting down for the rest of the day. Of course I know that I can't do that because it would take me a week to get caught up again.
to top everything off Hillary has decided that she don't like pampers anymore....She wants undees. It would be a good thing except for one problem.......The little fart does her pee and then tells me that she needs to "pee, potty." I have to give her credit, the last time she did it(which was a minute ago) she made it right to the potty but did it on the floor. She then of course came in to tell me. I've just realized that it is now officially time for pullups.

Drawing Closer

I didn't realize until the other day how important reading the Bible is to your Christian life. I never read the Bible everyday because I didn't think that it was that important. Boy was I wrong. Now that I read and study it everyday I see what a difference it makes in my life. I even missed one day and that's when it hit me.....Reading and studying God's word is an necessity in drawing closer to Him. Since I started to read daily my personal relationship with him has changed dramatically and I wish I would have realized it sooner. This is one girl who has learned her lesson. Grrrrrr.......So frustrating. I knew right away where I went wrong. I've been eating most of the same things that I had eaten in the first week but there was one difference...PEPSI. I've been drinking diet Pepsi this week and even though I stayed within my points it didn't help. Lets just say that I learned my lesson. NO more Pepsi for me. I have a total of three pounds gone which means I have only twenty more to go and if I only lose .6 a week it's going to take aloooong time. The drink just ain't worth it. I don't care I'm having my weight gone by brud's wedding. I know, I know, it's a year and three months away but you would be surprised how long it take to lose weight, especially that much. You can get into ruts where you won't lose any for weeks and then there is times when you just can't resist(like Christmas). So i figured I'd start now and allow myself plenty of time to lose it with no rush besides I want to have it gone in time to have a dress fitted and not have to get it taken in right before the wedding because I lost more. Oh well....Wish me luck.

Another Beautiful Day in Grande Prairie!!!

Well it's another beautiful day in Grande Prairie and all I can say is that I love the weather up here. It's been about three weeks since we had any rain or snow. It's been cloudy a couple of days but nothing fell. I can't wait to see what the summer is like. I bet it's Beautiful. I was told that it is sunny a lot. I tempted to go for a walk but I don't thing I would want to tempt it with three kids. Oh well....I'll just have to wait till tomorrow. I'm willing to bet that when Debbie and Gary comes up next week it will be raining. It always happens.

Today is weigh in day. I don't think that I lost any but you never know. Since joining weight watchers every Wednesday has become a dreaded what if day........What if I didn't lose any...What if I didn't drink enough water(I'm having trouble with that)...What if I gained...What if..What if....Oh the list could go on. Don't get me wrong I love going to weight watchers. Its helping me lose my weight. It's just that you get so nervous at weigh ins. You don't what to have gained when you should be losing. Staying the same is not so bad but with this only being my third week I shouldn't be in the weight losing rut yet. We'll see what happens.

He Provides!!!

Well what can I say except...Thank You Lord. Over the last week or so I was debating if I should get a part time job or not. Spring break up is upon us which means that Jason's work will be slowing down a bit for a couple of weeks... hopefully no longer. I was thinking about a job so we could have some extra money(everyone loves spending money...hehe). I decided not to because I would have to find a babysitter and it would be harder to do anything when jason got his days off. Well...sort of out of nowhere my cousin's wife called last night and asked if i wanted to start babysitting in the daytime for her. She even said that when i wanted anytime off just let her know in advance and she would work her shifts around it. What a perfect job!!! I'd been praying that he would provide something and I know now that i will always trust Him because He will take care of us.
When I didn't think that this day could get any better......it did. I finally got the dvd's that i was waiting FOREVER for. YEAH what a day.

"The person who loves God is the one God knows and cares for." 1 Corinthians 8:3

Thanks to my Brother

My brother and I always had a close relationship. Except of course when we were younger and use to fight but we were young and didn't know the difference. Younger brothers use to be annoying at that time. Anyways! Being from a small town in Newfoundland there was only a small gang of people to hang out with so naturally with only two years between us we started to hang out with the same people. Once we got in high school we had some different friends outside the community but he was always the one I could talk to especially when we were in trouble. He always got into more trouble than I did.(hehehe)
Once I graduate high school and went away to university for a semester we didn't talk so much but always knew we were there for each other. Then when I moved back home and unexpectedly started a family we were closer again because I lived with mom and dad for a while. When I moved out on my own I knew I could always call him for a ride or to pick something up for me. I know I use to get on his nerves but I'm suppose to. (LOL)
I remember when he was in grade 12 and he started to go to church. I had no interest in going because for me church was always a dull, boring thing that you would do on Sunday. Then one day he came home and said that he was going to be playing in church. Of course I wanted to go to witness it because he was someone who wouldn't even talk in class let alone get up and do anything in front of people. Well what a shock I got. Church wasn't boring. They were even playing music that I liked. I started to go to church and even gave my life to the Lord.
I was the first one that he told when he decided to quit school and go back to school be a pastor. He wanted to know what I think mom and dad would say. I told him that they would say it was ok as long as he made sure it was what he wanted to do. And of course I was right. The first time that he was suppose to preach for the youth day at the church I think me and mom were more nervous than he was. When he finished there was not a dry eye in the place and we knew that it was what he was suppose to do.
I owe him a giant thanks because if it was not for him I probably won't be a Christian today. His relationship and strength through Christ is an inspiration and I hope to one day have the same. I'm slowly getting there. I know that I can call him anytime with questions and I know that he will always be there for me.

Thanks and I Love You Brud. I'm so proud of you.

A Free Gift!!

Hey...I knew that would get your attention. Everyone likes to get free gifts but the problem is most free gifts has strings attached. Buy one get one free, spend so much get one free, oh the list could go on. But what amazes me is that the one gift that is absolutely free is the one that so many people won't accept.
Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins when he died on the cross, so what does our salvation cost us? Nothing!! I know some people would answer that by saying...."but when your a christian you have to give up so much things to do. You can't drink, smoke, swear, etc...." but really what do those things really get you. One Word. Trouble! Christians still have fun(maybe more because we can remember what happens) and get to enjoy fun things like movies, bowling, hanging out with friends, and other things, it's just that we don't do the worldly things that would not only cause pain for us but also for others. And really you don't miss those things because when you live your life for Christ they don't matter. I'm not saying that there don't be temptations. Of course everyone is tempted sometimes and sometimes its not easy but with Gods help you can get throught temptations and usually have a closer relationship with him because of it.
Then there are those who say "I'll get to heaven, i pay the church, i don't break any of the commandments, i give to others." Boy are you wrong. Jesus said that the only way to the Father is throught Him. So even if you are a good person, unless you repent of you sins(because no one is perfect so everyone is a sinner) and accept Jesus in your life your not getting in.

"You can enter God's Kingdon only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way. But the gateway to life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it." Matthew 7: 13-14

"Jesus replied,"I assure you, unless you are born again, you can never see the Kingdom of God." John 3:3

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." The main one being of course the gift of life. People take for granted that waking up every morning is a gift. Everyday you'll hear of someone dying and it makes you realize what a gift life is.
When you sit and think about it there are so many basic parts of everyday life that most people forget to give thanks for. A house, a job, education, food, clothing, children, transportation. For some it could be a successful business, a university education, the extras like a motorcycle, a snowmoble, technology...... oh the list could go on and on. How disappointed the Father must be when so many of his children forget to give him thanks for everything that he has given them. As I write this i pray that everyone who reads this will take a moment to thank God for everything that his has done for them.
